ResMed AirSense 11 Auto CPAP Machine
The AirSense 11 Auto CPAP machine is the newest generation of the popular ResMed AirSense series. The AirSense 11 automatically adjusts (increases and decreases) your pressure settings and features an AutoRamp to make falling asleep easy. Featuring enhanced digital health technology and two auto-algorithms for more personalised therapy.
The sleek and compact design of the ResMed AirSense 11 design makes travelling with your machine more manageable. Therapy is simple for everyone with the user-friendly start-stop function and easy navigation via the smart touch screen.
AirSense 11 Features and Advantages
Dual Auto Algorithms: The AirSense 11 offers two adaptive therapy modes—AutoSet and AutoSet for Her—both conveniently integrated into one device. The AutoSet for Her mode is tailored to women’s unique Obstructive Sleep Apnoea patterns, with gentler pressure adjustments for a more personalised therapy experience.
Enhanced Touch Screen: The AirSense 11 maintains the intuitive design of its predecessor, the AirSense 10 while introducing a larger touch screen with auto-dimming lights. This reduces nighttime disruptions and enhances usability.
Automatic Ramp: The Auto Ramp feature starts therapy with a lower pressure, gradually increasing to the prescribed level once the user is asleep. This functionality particularly benefits those new to CPAP therapy, helping them adjust comfortably.
Event Detection: The device distinguishes between Obstructive Sleep Apnoea and central apnoea events, offering a detailed analysis of therapy performance. This ensures accurate tracking and better management of your sleep health.
Easy Start/Stop Control: The AirSense 11 features a prominent button for quickly starting or stopping therapy.
Smart-Start Technology: With the Smart-Start function, the machine begins therapy automatically when the mask is in place and breathing is detected.
Optional HumidAir Humidification System
The device seamlessly integrates with the optional AirSense 11 HumidAir Humidifier and AirSense 11 ClimateLineAir Heated Tube. These add-ons reduce dryness and discomfort caused by cold air but are exclusively compatible with the AirSense 11.
HumidAir Humidifier: This optional humidifier warms and moistens the airflow for enhanced comfort. Its removable water tub simplifies cleaning and maintenance.
ClimateLineAir Heated Tubing: While the device comes with a standard 15mm tube, upgrading to the AirSense 11 ClimateLineAir Heated Tube when using the HumidAir Humidifier improves humidification and prevents the air from cooling as it flows through the hose.

What's the difference between the AirSense 10 and the AirSense 11?
ResMed has enhanced the most popular aspects of the AirSense 10, refining them further in the updated model. The AirSense 11 boasts a more compact and lightweight design, making it easier to take on the go.
Equipped with updated software and an improved colour touchscreen, the AirSense 11 is designed to be more energy-efficient than its predecessor. Instead of operating with a 90-watt power unit like the AirSense 10, the new model functions on a 65-watt unit, reducing power consumption.
In the AirSense 10, two separate machines were required to accommodate different algorithms. With the AirSense 11, the “For Her” feature has been seamlessly integrated into a single device, simplifying usage.
Can I use my ResMed AirSense 11 without a humidifier?
Yes, you can choose not to use a humidifier with the AirSense 11. The machine does not include the humidifier; this is an optional extra.
If you have the humidifier connected but you prefer not to use it, you can easily disable the humidifier. Navigate to your settings, locate the relevant options, and turn off the humidifier feature. Afterwards, you can detach the water chamber and replace it with a side cover.
Does the AirSense 11 turn off automatically?
No, it does not.
How loud is the ResMed AirSense 11?
The AirSense 11 CPAP operates at a sound level of just 27 decibels, ensuring a quiet experience. Designed with ResMed’s EasyBreathe motor, it promotes a calm and restful environment for both the user and their sleep partner.
What does the snowflake mean on AirSense 11?
The snowflake icon appears when your humidifier is cooling down.
How often do you change the filter in ResMed AirSense 11?
Disposable filters should be replaced every 30 days, while reusable filters can last up to three months—though they may need replacing sooner if there is visible buildup. To remove the air filter, access the back of the device and pull down the tab to release it.
Am I allowed to bring my AirSense 11 on a plane?
Yes, the device is FAA-approved.
Since CPAP machines are considered medical equipment, they do not count toward your carry-on allowance when flying. Ensure to activate aeroplane mode on your device and avoid filling the water chamber before the flight to prevent leaks or potential damage.
