HU HME Waterless Humidification Packs

The HU and HU-Plus Packs are designed exclusively for BMC masks. These compact heat and moisture exchangers (HME) provide waterless humidification. The small pods easily connect to the top of the mask’s short tube within the integrated condenser.

These packs enhance comfort by warming the airflow and reducing dryness and irritation. The HME tablets offer a convenient alternative to traditional humidifiers, delivering effective humidification without needing water and a bulky chamber.

 

Important information: The HU humidifier system is compatible only with BMC CPAP masks that feature an integrated condenser. Suitable masks include the BMC P2H, BMC N5H, and BMC N5AH mask.

 

How does waterless humidification work?

These waterless humidification tablets capture heat and moisture from the patient’s exhaled breath and use it to humidify and warm the air inhaled during therapy. The HME’s tiny paper ridges store the heat and moisture from each exhale and release them upon inhalation, ensuring warm and comfortable air throughout the night.

HU Heat Moisture Tablet: Suitable for providing comfortable humidification in most climates and sleep environments.

HU-Plus Heat Moisture Tablet: Ideal for dry climates and high-altitude conditions, such as during aeroplane travel, where humidity is low.

BMC HME tablets are disposable and must be replaced every 30 days after opening, regardless of continuous use.
